Why the Handprints?
Having been inspired during her time spent in Pediatric Residency, Dr. Allardice affirms the uniqueness of every individual. Asa reminder of this, personal handprints have been an integral part of PAL's decor from the beginning. Initially painted directly on the walls, we transitioned to custom built canvases decorated every year by families at our annual hand painting party.
No matter how small(or large) each handprint(or footprint) is, your child leaves a lasting impression of how important they are to us at PAL's. Establishing lifelong relationships is at the heart of what we do. Watching patients find their handprints through the years is a reminder to them how special THEY are to us!
Our Services
Check-ups for newborns start at 2-5 days old and proceed with a 1 month, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, 15 months, 18 months, and a 2 year check-up. We also offer same day sick visits, as well as care for our patients with chronic issues.
We recommend yearly check-ups for your child over the age of 2 and continuously throughout their teen years. As a courtesy and part of our commitment to continuity of care, we also complete sports physicals, camp physicals, and college entrance forms at your wellness visit.
Our Providers
Dr.Lisa Allardice
Dr. Allardice grew up in Columbus, Georgia where she received her undergraduate degree from Columbus State University. Dr. Allardice then moved to Birmingham, Alabama to attend the University of Alabama (UAB) School of Medicine in Birmingham. She graduated Cum Laude in 1991 as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. She also completed her residency in Birmingham at the Children's Hospital of Alabama in 1994. Following her residency, Dr. Allardice began practicing pediatrics in LaGrange, Georgia.
Dr. Allardice established Pediatric Associates of LaGrange (PALs) in 1997. It was her founding mission to establish a practice which provides exceptional newborn, pediatric, and adolescent healthcare in a family-centric atmosphere.
Dr. Allardice is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Pediatricians, American Medical Association, and the Medical Association of Georgia.
Dr. Allardice enjoys the long term relationship her practice has with training programs for physicians assistants and nurse practitioners. She values providing hands-on experience with small-town private practice and was proudly named Emory University's Physician Assistant's Preceptor of the Year in 2019.
In her spare time, Dr. Allardice enjoys spending time with her family, walking, traveling, and volunteering in the children's program at her church. In the fall, Dr. Allardice and her husband enjoy cheering on The University of Alabama (Roll Tide!) as well as supporting their daughter as she coaches middle school softball.
Diana Hess, CPNP
Diana is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner who also has 10 years experience as an RN. She received her nursing degree from Georgia Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in 1991. She later received her Master of Science Degree from Georgia State University in 2001. She has previously served the Stockbridge, Georgia community for over 6 years as a pediatric nurse practitioner. Diana has been a nurse practitioner with our practice since 2008.Diana loves being in a smaller town. She is a member of First Presbyterian Church of LaGrange.
